Bovine Hepcidin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Hepcidin in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate coated with an antibody specific for Hepcidin, a Biotinylated Anti-Hepcidin detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. After addition of stop solution, the colour change is measured by reading the absorbance at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit has a detection range of 0.625–40 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.214 ng/ml. Reported average recoveries (n=5) are 92% for serum (range 84–100%), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 83–99%) and 93% for heparin plasma (range 85–101%). Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
