Bovine Growth Hormone ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Growth Hormone in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well pre-coated microplate, with captured Growth Hormone detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Growth Hormone Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated from a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer, the assay range is 78.1–5000 pg/ml and the sensitivity is <28 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) reported averages of 92% for serum (range 82–102%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 90–100%) and 94% for heparin plasma (range 88–100%). Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
