Bovine Glutamate Dehydrogenase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Glutamate Dehydrogenase 1 (GLUD1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated anti-GLUD1 detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

In the procedure, an antibody specific for GLUD1 is pre-coated onto the microplate wells. Standards and samples are added, the captured GLUD1 is bound by the Biotinylated Anti-GLUD1 Antibody, and the signal is developed using HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. After addition of the stop solution, the yellow colour intensity is read at 450 nm and the GLUD1 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a sensitivity of <3.4 U/L and a measuring range of 7.81–500 U/L, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery in undiluted samples is 80–102% (average 91%, n=5) for serum, 81–99% (average 90%, n=5) for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% (average 84%, n=5) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity is reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
