Bovine Galectin 9 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Galectin 9/Gal-9 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and the standard measuring range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <7.8 pg/ml.

Kit components include a lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl), Detection Solution B (120 μl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml), and 5 adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as indicated.

Sample recovery in serum (n=5) averaged 91% (range 80%–102%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) averaged 90% (range 81%–100%) and in heparin plasma (n=5) averaged 84% (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
