Bovine Galectin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Galectin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Galectin 1, together with a biotinylated anti-Galectin 1 detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. Signal is developed with TMB substrate and read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Manufacturer figures report a sensitivity of 27.5 pg/ml and a standard range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml. Average recovery values listed in the manufacturer documentation are 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Kit components include a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
