Bovine Fibronectin ELISA Kit

The sandwich-format immunoassay from Antibodies.com enables in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Fibronectin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Standards and samples are added to the wells of a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Fibronectin; captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-Fibronectin antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose intensity is read at 450 nm and quantified against the standard curve.

The standard curve spans 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.066 ng/ml, and the complete protocol takes 4 h 30 min. Validation data report average recoveries of 92% in serum (range 82–102%, n=5), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 90–100%, n=5) and 94% in heparin plasma (range 88–100%, n=5), with consistent dilution linearity demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across all three sample types.

The kit is supplied as a pre-coated 12 × 8-well strip plate together with a lyophilised standard, detection reagents A and B, 30× wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
