Bovine E2 ELISA Kit

A competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Estradiol in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay runs in 2 hours on a pre-coated microplate, with detection performed colorimetrically at 450 nm using a microplate reader.

The manufacturer reports a standard curve range of 12.5–800 pg/mL and an analytical sensitivity of less than 7.5 pg/mL. The antibody is stated to be specific for Estradiol with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. In the assay, Estradiol in standards or samples competes with immobilised Estradiol on the plate for binding to an assay-specific antibody; HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate are then added, and the colour intensity at 450 nm is inversely proportional to the analyte concentration.

Recovery data from the manufacturer show averages of 93% for serum, 98% for EDTA plasma and 93% for Heparin plasma across the tested range. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with results falling within the manufacturer's accepted ranges for serum, EDTA plasma and Heparin plasma. The kit is shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C or –20°C as directed in the protocol manual, and freeze/thaw cycles to be avoided.
