Bovine Defensin Beta 1 ELISA Kit

Sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine beta Defensin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and a biotinylated anti-beta Defensin 1 detection antibody with HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is <0.71 ng/ml with an assay range of 1.56-100 ng/ml, and a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. In manufacturer validation testing (n=5), spike-and-recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 was 87-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma and 82-105% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as instructed, and not used past the expiration date.
