Bovine Creatine Kinase, Muscle ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Creatine Kinase MM in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for Creatine Kinase MM pre-coated onto a microplate, followed by a biotinylated anti-Creatine Kinase MM detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The manufacturer's reported product range is 12.5–800 U/L with a sensitivity of <4.65 U/L. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader and the total run time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported average recovery across sample matrices is 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–99%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%), based on n=5 per matrix. Dilution linearity is documented for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum at 1:2 recovering 87–91%, 1:4 at 87–107%, 1:8 at 74–101% and 1:16 at 92–97% (n=5).
