Bovine Cathepsin L ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Cathepsin L/MEP in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The Antibodies.com kit uses an antibody specific for Cathepsin L/MEP pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Cathepsin L/MEP Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate visualises the reaction as a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader with the concentration calculated against the standard curve.

Quantitative performance covers a detection range of 0.625-40 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.314 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80-89%, average 84%), with dilution linearity tested from 1:2 to 1:16. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
