Bovine Caspase 3 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Caspase-3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Caspase-3 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, and captured Caspase-3 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Caspase-3 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction produces a yellow colour proportional to target concentration, which is quantified by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The kit has a stated product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.071 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. The platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and detection is colorimetric. For spiked recovery (n=5), averages were 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%).
