Bovine Casein Beta ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich-format ELISA enables quantitative determination of bovine beta casein, with milk as the validated sample type. The kit is built around a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and uses a biotinylated anti-beta casein detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate produces a blue product that converts to yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay covers a quantitative range of 78.1–5000 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <27 ng/ml, and the full protocol runs in 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at either +4°C or -20°C as instructed on the label. The concentration of beta casein in each sample is calculated by interpolating the absorbance against the supplied standard curve.
