Bovine Cadherin, Epithelial ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine E Cadherin (epithelial cadherin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-E Cadherin detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection is colorimetric using TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a microplate reader.

Quantitative measurement is supported by a standard curve across a product range of 0.937–60 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of 0.23 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Reported recovery in serum spans 80%–102% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%), and in heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5).

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
