Bovine C Reactive Protein ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine C Reactive Protein in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), a biotinylated anti-C Reactive Protein detection antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit has a stated product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <6.2 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Supplied components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

Spike-and-recovery validation (n=5) gave average values of 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–99%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same matrices.
