The assay employs a pre-coated microplate and a biotinylated anti-LGB antibody with HRP-avidin detection, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader. The reported product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml and sensitivity is 0.073 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported recovery averages are 91% for serum (range 83–99%), 89% for EDTA plasma (range 80–98%) and 90% for heparin plasma (range 82–99%).

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
