Bovine Atrial Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Natriuretic Peptides A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate; standards and samples are added to the wells, with Natriuretic Peptides A captured by the immobilised antibody. A Biotinylated Anti-Natriuretic Peptides A Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate are then applied, and TMB substrate produces a yellow colour that is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Detection range is 62.5–4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <28.7 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Across n=5 samples, average values of 91% (range 80–102%), 90% (range 81–99%) and 84% (range 80–89%) were obtained for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma respectively. Across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 (n=5), values ranged 74–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
