Bovine Aspartate Aminotransferase ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Aspartate Aminotransferase in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for Aspartate Aminotransferase pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the target analyte is captured by the immobilized antibody, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Aspartate Aminotransferase Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to produce a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a reported standard range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml. The platform is a pre-coated microplate, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Recovery performance has been evaluated across sample matrices, with average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80%–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–99%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity has also been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
