Bovine Annexin A5 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for research laboratory use, this sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Annexin V/ANXA5 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for Annexin V/ANXA5 is pre-coated onto a microplate, standards and samples are added, and captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-Annexin V/ANXA5 antibody, HRP-Avidin and TMB substrate. The yellow reaction product is read at 450 nm in a colourmetric microplate reader, and the concentration of Annexin V/ANXA5 is calculated against a standard curve.

The kit has a stated measuring range of 0.625–40 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.16 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Components are stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported recovery validation ranges (with averages) are: serum n=5, 80%–102% (91%); EDTA plasma n=5, 81%–100% (90%); heparin plasma n=5, 80%–89% (84%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is reported as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma (each n=5).
