Bovine Angiogenin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Angiogenin in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Angiogenin. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where Angiogenin is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Angiogenin antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The colour reaction is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the concentration of Angiogenin calculated from a standard curve.

The kit shows a sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml and a working range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, with results obtainable in 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum gave an average of 91% (range 80%–102%), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81%–100%), and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80%–89%). Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
