The Antibodies.com Bovine Alpha-Fetoprotein ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring AFP levels in cattle, supporting research in reproductive biology, fetal development, and veterinary diagnostics. Alpha-fetoprotein is a glycoprotein predominantly produced by the fetal liver and yolk sac, and quantifying it in maternal and fetal samples is a standard approach in bovine pregnancy studies and developmental research.
Configured as a 48T (48-test) strip plate format, the kit fits small-to-medium cohort screening, including longitudinal sampling of pregnant cows and neonatal calves. The workflow uses a matched antibody pair (capture and detection) with an HRP-based chromogenic substrate, allowing absorbance readout on a standard microplate reader. Unused reagents should be stored at 4 °C in the dark, while the sealed plate pouch with desiccant can be kept refrigerated until first use to preserve antibody binding activity.
