Bovine Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine alpha 1 Acid Glycoprotein (AGP) in serum, plasma, urine or other biological fluids. Supplied by Antibodies.com, the kit is built around a pre-coated 96-well microplate and uses a biotinylated anti-AGP detection antibody in conjunction with an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the concentration of AGP calculated against the standard curve.

Sensitivity is reported at 5.5 ng/ml with an assay range of 15.6-1000 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery testing showed average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-100%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%), each tested across 5 samples. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.
