Bovine Adiponectin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of bovine Adiponectin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Adiponectin and is supplied as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where Adiponectin is captured by the immobilized antibody; bound Adiponectin is then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Adiponectin Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to Adiponectin concentration and is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.

The assay range is 78.1–5000 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <32 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been validated in serum (n=5, 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 81%–99%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, 80%–89%, average 84%), with linearity demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types. Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
