Akt1 (phospho Thr72) Cell Based ELISA Kit

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the indirect in vitro qualitative determination of AKT1 (phospho Thr72) in adherent and suspension cells. The assay reacts with human, mouse and rat samples and is reported to have no cross-reactivity. It is a ready-to-use kit run on a tissue culture treated microplate with colorimetric detection, a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes, and a detection range of > 5000 Cells.

Detection is achieved through an indirect ELISA format, in which Anti-Akt1 (phospho Thr72) antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. Three normalisation approaches are described in the protocol: an Anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control, a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step accounts for cell density, and an Anti-Akt1 antibody is provided to normalise absorbance values against the non-phosphorylated target. The kit is intended for research use only and is stored at +4°C.
