10X TBE (Tris Borate EDTA) Buffer — 10X concentrate for preparing 1X running buffer for nucleic acid electrophoresis. This product is supplied as a 500ml concentrate.

- Typical 10X composition (concentrate): Tris (~0.89 M), boric acid (~0.89 M), EDTA (~20 mM). Dilute 1:10 with nuclease-free water to obtain 1X TBE (~89 mM Tris, 89 mM boric acid, 2 mM EDTA; pH ~8.3 at 25°C).
Key features & uses: high buffering capacity for consistent migration of DNA and RNA in agarose gels; suitable for high-voltage and long runs; especially effective for resolving small DNA fragments. Ideal for routine agarose gel electrophoresis, DNA sizing and analysis, and applications requiring stable ionic strength over extended runs.
Notes & handling: may inhibit some downstream enzymatic reactions if carried over (perform appropriate cleanup before PCR/ligation). Store at room temperature (15–25°C), protect from contamination, and avoid repeated freeze–thaw. Use standard laboratory PPE and follow institutional waste-disposal guidelines.
