MQ Recombinant Trypsin Solution, without phenol red

MQ Recombinant Trypsin Solution, without phenol red — enhanced description and usage notes for the MQ recombinant trypsin product line.

Manufacturer: MOLEQULE-ON, Auckland, New Zealand (MQ product line). (molequle-on.com)

This is a recombinant, microbially expressed trypsin formulation produced without animal-derived raw materials (animal-origin free) and supplied phenol red-free for applications where indicator dyes are undesirable. The product is sterile-filtered and designed to provide high purity and high specific proteolytic activity suitable as a replacement for porcine/bovine trypsin in sensitive workflows. Typical uses & handling: enzymatic detachment of adherent mammalian cells (passaging, primary cell preparation, single-cell suspensions), cell harvesting for recombinant protein or vaccine production, and general tissue dissociation. Pre-warm solution to 37°C, apply briefly (time depends on cell type), monitor detachment under a microscope, then neutralize promptly with serum-containing medium or a validated trypsin inhibitor. Working concentrations and exposure times vary by cell line (common working ranges are in the low tenths of a percent; always optimize for your cell type). (sigmaaldrich.com)

Storage & handling recommendations: avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles (aliquot after thaw), store frozen for long-term or follow the manufacturer instructions on the vial; handle aseptically and consult the product certificate of analysis / SDS for endotoxin and sterility specifications prior to regulated workflows.
